Resilient Aviation's pilot internship program allows separating or retiring military pilots to build flight time and gain experience by flying Corporate Aviation flights under 14 CFR Part 91.
Many of our flights originate in scenic Northern California, but some may require travel to various locations where the jets are currently stationed, providing a diverse and exciting experience.
FOR FIXED-WING PILOTS [PLEASE READ]:
Before performing flight operations for any of our Industry Partners, current insurance requirements mandate SkillBridge Intern candidates:
-Complete at least 1200 hours (total time) in fixed-wing aircraft
-Possess a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Multi-Engine Instrument Rating
-Complete an evaluation flight with Resilient Aviation's Chief Pilot (non-threat event; we want to see where we might be able to focus your follow on training)
-Hold an FAA 2nd Class Medical (or better)
-Complete RVSM training
Fixed Wing Pilot Interns can expect to earn one or more 14 CFR § 61.55 SIC Type Ratings depending on aircraft availability.
The amount of flying and the flight schedules are subject to existing client demand. Interns can expect to support a dynamic flight schedule. Every effort is undertaken to inform interns of upcoming flights with sufficient notice. You can expect to access an online calendar with all the scheduling details.
For Intern candidates transitioning off non-flying tours, a bi-annual flight review may be required, depending on your situation. It is also possible that an Instrument Proficiency Check may be required. Internship candidates must review the applicable regulations and complete these events before submitting their applications. These are not covered under the Resilient Aviation internship program.
FOR ROTARY-WING PILOTS [PLEASE READ]:
For rotary-wing pilots interested in transitioning to fixed-wing platforms, Resilient Aviation can place you at civilian flight schools to help build fixed-wing time. To do this, you must have already completed your FW CFI rating. If you wish to remain in the Rotary Wing field and pursue Corporate Helicopter Jobs, please indicate this in the contact form below. Resilient Aviation is also in the process of making several Rotary Wing positions available to SkillBridge Interns. Please check back often for an announcement of when this will be offered.
FOR ALL PILOTS [PLEASE READ]:
PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR RESUME ON YOUR INITIAL SkillBridge Internship Application.
Please also provide copies of:
-pilot certificates (front and back)
-logbooks (a summary page is also ok)
-current medical (FAA 2nd Class or better)
-RVSM training certificate
